Share eating FullyRaw with your families! This lifestyle is a gift! Since I have been raw, my family went from eating a high-fat non-vegan Ecuadorean/Lebanese diet to now eating at least 1-2 FullyRaw meals a day! It’s taken time, compassion, understanding, communication, and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, but we have all grown closer and healthier together! Special interview with my mom tomorrow!
How to inspire your family to get healthy:
-Invite them to share it with you
-Bring a fruit platter or fruit salad to any family function
-Be open to talk with them and answer questions because the more open you are, the more open they will be.
-Educate yourself! The better educated that you are, the more you will be able to educate them and help them understand.
-Self-love: Your self-worth is more valuable than what other opinions of you may be.
– Watch Movies: Forks Over Knives, Food, inc., Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, Hungry for Change, Simply Raw, Gerson Miracle
-Give them books to read! Or Audio tapes! Books that I recommend: Veggicated, The Nation Shall not be Micorwaved, Fast Food Nation, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, 80/10/10, The China Study, John McCabe: Igniting Your Life, The Raw Cure by Jesse Jacoby.
-Meditate before family functions
– Have absolute respect of many different lifestyles. Just because that you have chosen to take this journey doesn’t mean that they have, so be respectful and merely enlighten them!
-Live as an example and when necessary use words! 🙂
-DON’T PREACH. LIVE.
-Have a conversation BEFORE family functions to let them know that you aren’t eating the food with them.
-Go for a workout before.
-Bring a friend!
-Allow time to recover after family events.
-Practice visualizations and make a plan before big family events.
