About John Boyega

John Boyega is a British actor and producer who has made a name for himself as one of Hollywood’s most influential rising stars. After beginning his career in 2011, Boyega quickly gained notoriety with a lead role in the science-fiction film Attack the Block, which earned him numerous accolades. He later achieved wider fame with his portrayal of Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, becoming one of the first black actors to take on a major role in the series. Beyond acting, Boyega is an outspoken advocate for social change and has been involved with various charitable organizations throughout his career.

Boyega initially rose to fame after starring opposite Nick Frost in Attack the Block, winning three awards at film festivals around the world including Best Male Lead at BAFTA Awards Scotland.
