Have you felt miserable and wished there was something you could do? Did you know that a lot of times your mind has a pretty heavy role in contributing to your misery? This is also known as cognitive bias. We aren’t saying this to invalidate any of your sadness or make it seem like your fault. Rather, we want to encourage you by letting you know that you can take an active role in making yourself happier! Once you know about some of the tricks your mind plays on you, you can work to combat them before they take over. So here are a few common ways your brain tricks you into being miserable.
